I am a Fashion Knitwear Design & Knitted Textiles graduate from Nottingham Trent University, and Media Production graduate from the University of Lincoln. Now located in London, I am in search of a job within the knitted fashion industry.Locked Pro Plan feature
During and between education, I have worked in hospitality. While working full-time at Caffe Nero, I was appointed as key-holder which required me to manage shifts, deal with paperwork and cash-up the tills. Working while studying highlights my responsible nature while expanding my management, organisation, multitasking and customer relations skills. I am a confident communicator, in person and on paper.
I did a Knitwear Design Internship at Chinti & Parker, and was kept on as freelance for the last month of my placement. I worked closely with the design and production departments, and was lucky enough to have a selection of my designs produced as exclusives for the C&P website.
I did an internship at Zinc Design, a swatch studio in West London. I developed my practical knitting skills, on domestic and industrial machines while learning the ins and outs of the knitwear industry. My designs were sold to companies worldwide.
An intensive course, where I learned how to design and create knitted fashion garments from inspiration through to catwalk. Inspired by the Birds of Paradise, my graduate Paradisaea collection was recently showcased on the catwalk. The resort line-up is a flourish of colour and metamorphasis of fine knitwear. Design and Research skills: I have completed a shop report, individual lookbook, illustrated dissertation and have been inspired by upcoming trends for my catwalk collection. I have also been an acting Student Course Representative; involved in course meetings and the organisation of the final year fashion show and look book photo shoot.
Specialised in photography, I am skilled on editing software and have an eye for detail and flare with colour.
