    Art Gallery Marketing & Events Manager

    - Responsible for the day-to-day management of the Gallery, from sourcing materials, to arranging exhibitions, social media, managing the website and dealing direct with clients and customers. - Marketing and promotion of Pete McKee’s art work, achieving a 300% increase in social media reach. - Product management - collaboration with Paul Smith, Noel Gallagher, Warp Films and the BBC. - Contributed to strategic business development - implemented a new user friendly website that received over 12,000 unique visits a month. - Curated and organised an exhibition: “Joy of Sheff” which celebrated the industrial heritage of Sheffield. Chose a disused warehouse on the edge of the city as a unique location with the intention of taking art “out of the gallery”. - Used social media to generate excitement and negotiated with local businesses to support the event including the provision of innovative hanging techniques. Created a book to support the event and produced a wide range of themed products for purchase in an on-site pop-up shop. - Arranged a themed double decker bus to transport visitors from the city centre. - The event was a great success, its 3,000 visitors spending a total of £80,000 on the day. - With the intention of giving the brand voice wider recognition proposed and ran an event in 10 pubs across Sheffield: “Pub Scrawl”. Chose 10 local artists, each of whom were given a pub as a venue to exhibit their work. - Persuaded Thornbridge Brewery to sponsor the event. - Generated local TV and radio coverage and persuaded artists such as Warp films, Producers of “This is England” to participate in the event. - The event was a great success and is being repeated. It doubled the turnover of the pubs with circa 2,000 attendees on the night.

    - Stage Manager of one of the major venues at Tramlines 2011, the Nokia Stage. - Account managed Nokia’s £90,000 sponsorship fund to maximise exposure of a new Camera Phone. - Booked artists, created the advertising campaign using traditional and digital media. Organised photo shoots and managed the production of 8 promotional videos that were streamed online. - 10,000 people visited the Nokia Stage and Tramlines won ‘Best Metropolitan Festival’ at The UK Festival Awards 2011. - Invited to manage an art/music event at Tramlines 2012 following a donation of £10k from the Arts Council, this in own time. Identified a venue and invited acclaimed artist Kid.Acne to curate artists and musicians. - Managed a marketing campaign, organised the venue including staffing, Health and Safety, security and organisation both before and on the day. 2,000 people visited the exhibition on the day.
