Harriet Constable is a multimedia journalist and self-shooting filmmaker telling stories from across the globe using video, text and audio. Her work is featured in outlets including The New York Times, BBC, Guardian and Al Jazeera. She also works with clients including Airbnb, Grayling, the UK's Department for International Development and Nike. Originally from London, Harriet worked at the Financial Times before moving to Africa. Previously based in Nairobi and then Johannesburg, she was a 2016/17 board member of the Foreign Correspondents’ Association of East Africa (FCAEA), and has received hostile environment and emergency first-aid training. She is a graduate of Columbia University's School of Journalism summer video workshop in New York and a trustee of The Media Society in London. Harriet's live reporting at Kenya’s 2016 Ivory Burn was part of the WildAid #JoinTheHerd campaign, which won awards with Cannes Lions and The Drum. She was shortlisted for AITO Young Travel Writer of the Year 2017, and Travel Media Award for Broadcast Programme of the Year 2018. Harriet’s story on sand was selected for the ‘Pick of From Our Own Correspondent’, and her film Fired Up aired at the China Women’s Film Festival in 2019.Locked Pro Plan feature
