About me
I have 10 years’ experience in graphic design and in that time have crafted more than 50 impactful brand solutions. For the past 2 years, I have been working as a freelance designer taking on my own branding projects. Prior to this, I co-founded my own agency, Yawn Creative, where I was the lead creative for 6 years, which required a range of skills including pitching, brand positioning, brand design and implementation across the www, real life and everywhere in-between. I believe I can bring great ideas to the table whilst keeping within brand values and my unique experience running my own business has allowed me to develop an efficient consistent process while taking on a broad spectrum of creative projects.
Projects
  • Duppy Share Rum
Duppy Share RumThe Duppy Share is an award-winning blend of Caribbean rums from Jamaica and Barbados. The team at Duppy wanted to refresh their brand identity and build a label system for their Spiced, White and XO rums. The change marked a move away from their former ‘Making Mischief’ personality towards a more aspirational message: ‘Share the Spirit of the Caribbean’. Firstly, a subtle tweak to their brand name made space for a new brand marque to take center stage. This was then echoed across each bottle
  • Noise Will Be Noise
Noise Will Be NoiseNoise Will Be Noise uses cutting-edge technology to offer high quality, flexible and affordable recording studios. The logo design effortlessly displays sound through the repetition of the brand's initials, NWN, cleverly resembling noise while never shouting. Once animated, the effect is amplified and a new message of movement, flexibility and collaboration is shared. All of which is reassuringly contained within the logo's "sound-proof" key line.
  • One Wild Wine
One Wild WineOne Wild Wine draws inspiration from the diversity of vineyards and wine regions across Europe to create good-quality, hassle-free canned wine. The aim of the identity is to create a brand that feels reputable without taking itself too seriously. The digitally drawn font calls on style cues from English Black Gothic type to present a brand that feels graceful and weighty. Implausible pairings poke fun at the snobbery that surrounds wine drinking, focusing on where the wine can be drunk. Finally,
  • Dangerous Don Mezcal
Dangerous Don MezcalDangerous Don Café is the perfect blend of two of Mexico's most beloved exports: mezcal and coffee. It was important I paid homage to the drink's enchanting traditions while creating something new and exciting for the UK market. I met the need for authenticity and originality with pen-chalk illustrations and a bespoke hand-drawn typeface. The design is applied to every bottle using a manual silk-screen process, finishing things off nicely.
  • John White Shoes
John White ShoesJohn White Ltd has been making shoes for a century. Mr White sold his first 90 pairs of shoes from a renovated paint-shop. Twenty years on, he became the biggest supplier of army boots during WWII. It's this message of success we wanted every box of John White shoes to communicate. "Keep believing" became the activation and directed everything from identity design to lookbook and POS. I crafted a crest and developed the John White signature to reinforce this message and help the brand to reconne
  • Raffles Chelsea
Raffles ChelseaRaffles opened in 1967, quickly becoming an enclave for the very best of the Chelsea Set. A place where The Rolling Stones, Vivienne Westwood and Princess Margaret could let loose in private, fast-forward to 2018 and the brand has lost its appeal. I reconnected them to their heritage by designing a fresh new look and feel to complement the 70s and mid-century-inspired refurbishment. This was then seamlessly carried across the clubs interior and social platforms, giving the Kings Road something t

     - 17 Amhurst Terrace, London E8 2BT, UKFull Time
I started the branding agency Yawn Creative with two people from my university course. Our mission was to create branding and graphics for start ups to help them make an impact on the world. Our work was contagious, every job brought in three more and as our client base grew so did we. I was lead creative on all branding projects but also got involved in project management, new business and brand positioning. Yawn was sadly put to bed 6 years after it's inception.
