During my time studying an Illustration degree at the Arts University Bournemouth I became fully immersed in the world of arts and the creative industries. I made the decision having graduated that I no longer wished to pursue illustration as a profession and chose instead to focus on working elsewhere within the creative industries. This had led me to taking up an internship with award-winning creative agency Dutch Uncle. During my time there I worked in all roles that an agency of that nature takes on. I excelled when taking on the position of account executive, working to co-ordinate client briefs with represented creatives and the needs and demands of both parties. I took charge of portfolio lunches aimed at high-end advertising companies with the aim of expanding on Dutch Uncles already substantial client base and contacts. This was another area in which I was able to prove myself by confidently communicating with professionals at all levels in their respective careers. Being put in charge of an exhibition hosted by a marketing agency I relished the responsibility and the opportunity to manage and supervise others in a small, tight-knit team. I strongly believe that my strengths and experiences, as well as my creative background play well into an accounts handling role within creative agencies, advertising and branding. I am keen to learn new skills and make a success of whatever task is at hand. I am available to start immediately.
During my internship with Dutch Uncle I gained invaluable insight and experience within the world of advertising and of course creative agencies especially regarding illustration and animation. I was heavily involved within the planning and production side of the agency industry; working alongside clients and artists I found the work to be incredibly engaging.
