      • My role as a photography assistant and digital operator at Seasalt was to make the shooting experience run smoothly throughout both eCommerce and campaign photoshoots. I was responsible for tethered capture sessions both in the studio and on location using Capture One Pro. My responsibilities included maintaining consistent camera settings throughout the day, checking focus, consistent white balance and exposure and I would provide on-set image editing to give the creative team an idea of how the final images will look based on a brief from the retouching team, tailoring base exposure and treatment to their needs. Ensuring that the laptop battery and external batteries remained full throughout the day. Use of GoodSync to backup the shoot to multiple hard drives after each shot. I would ensure that all images were filed and named correctly. I would troubleshoot technical problems with cameras, lighting, computers and software during shoots, resolving problems quickly and pragmatically to keep the shoot going. On eCommerce shoots, I was responsible for setup and pack-down of the studio making sure that equipment was properly maintained and stored. Making sure that all looks were named and filed correctly, ensuring consistent exposure and sharpness across all images. Backup of the shoot to the company network. On campaign studio shoots I would assist the photographer in building creative lighting setups based on a brief for a particular season or product launch in the studio, helping the photographer decided on camera settings to use to achieve the desired look. I pride myself on always maintaining a professional, friendly and punctual reputation as a photo assistant with excellent knowledge of photographic techniques, equipment and software to help photographers create their best work.
