About me
After gaining a certificate in Music Production and Sound Engineering at Point Blank Music School in Hoxton, I ventured to Berlin to complete an internship in an established Berlin Music studio as a Sound Engineer and Studio Assistant at the GYM Studios. Having moved back to London, I want to continue pursuing work in creative spaces with proactive people to ensure I utilise the skills I have acquired and that my experience is well-rounded and connected to sound. In conjunction with this, I’ve gained extensive experience in working on film-sets through equipment and kit organisation, recording sound for various film projects, and organising production on set. Whilst the work I pursued last year at Point Blank gave me a good understanding of studio engineering and sound design (with extensive theoretical and practical approaches, and an excellent knowledge of Logic Pro X), after working in a professional capacity as a Sound Engineer in Berlin, I have decided to continue my career outside a trajectory of education. My experience in management roles, film and sound has reinforced my communication and organisation skills inspiring my love for music technology. All of this has given me the drive to pursue an experience-based career in the music technology industry.

During my internship I assisted in assembling, operating and maintaining technical equipment, ensuring that sound was recorded to a professional standard within multiple projects. This internship enabled me to delve into the use of mixing desks, Logic Pro X and sonic equipment including microphones and speakers in a professional capacity, which I had previously not had the chance to do.

In this course I have learnt how to produce, record and master projects using industry standard equipment. My work on this course also enabled me to get a place working in a Berlin studio in a professional capacity as an assistant Sound Engineer. I have found it particularly rewarding learning about the science of sound and how it affects our daily life, all the way from the soundscapes of the rooms we live our lives in, to the number of ways a sound can be delivered to an audience. As I progress in the world of sound I would like to delve deeper into sound design and audio-visual engineering with the goal of building a career related to events and sound.
