I am currently in my third year at Norwich University of the Arts, working on my final two terms of work. Focusing on design for publishing, I will be focusing my projects on a fine art catalogue, Penguin books, Society of Publication Designers, fiction book design, editorial magazine and an event brief.
A seasonal position where I work with customers to help them receive the best customer service. Also including cash handling, tidying, challenge 25. Customer service is key to the job, and the main focus.
A university role, where I helped to show prospective students around the university campus. This involved explaining how the course works, as well as showing how fantastic the university is. I answered questions graphic design related, as well as guiding them through how the course works.
This particular role at the university was purely for my course. I helped new students on the course settle in to the university alongside my PAL mentor colleagues. The PAL mentors were made up of second year students in the aim to help students get into the course a little easier with help from a student that has been there. Within freshers week we started to help students meet new people, and we encouraged them to ask questions so we could help them understand the layout of the course. For example, how hand ins work etc.
This role focused on customer service also, helping them with their orders and serving them food. This role also included cash handling and following challenge 25.
