I write creative copy for the website, and product descriptions for womenswear, menswear and beauty. I also specialise in jewellery, working with buyers and other members of the production team in order to uniform jewellery copy across the site. I visit the studios on a daily basis in order to work with the clothes samples to find extra detail in order to improve copy across the website. I also work with the copy team to produce creative copy for the site, including category headers and brand blurbs, which are written to suit the house style. In addition to these tasks, I manage the ASOS Green Room Twitter account. This involves researching current trends and topics, posting and scheduling daily tweets, and I also create monthly calendars which I make a note of any relevant, upcoming events that we can tweet about. I also find images on a weekly basis that can be used for the ASOS Green Room Pinterest board, and I liaise regularly with the Global Social Media managers and the ASOS Instagram pages.
Researching and writing features, advertorials and blogs for major companies including Monarch, The Body Shop, Aveeno, British Gas and very.co.uk. I have had to tailor my writing to suit different audiences, and am responsible for sub-editing my own work. I have written many destination pieces for Monarch Airlines and Cosmos Holidays, as well as many blogs, press releases and advertorials for companies such as The Body Shop, J&J, Mira Showers and Heinz. I have also written hundreds of product descriptions for the launch of Matalan's new website which I uploaded directly onto their site, which was a huge responsibility to ensure that no mistakes were made. I could be sent briefs at a moments notice and often had very tight deadlines.
