I am currently working at Sony Music within the Brands team working on strategic partnerships with brands and artists ranging from bigger campaigns such as online music content series and experiential marketing opportunities to summer festival an ‘always on’ activation and product placement for brands that want to establish music as a passion point as part of their marketing strategies. I have collaboratively implemented with brand/artist partnership from label marketing and positioning, manager pitching to effective script writing for fluid product placement with some of the UK’s best video directors. This has also meant I’ve gained familiarity in every stage of the campaign process; from creative conception, to client pitch & negotiation, to account management & delivery. I am a passionate, innovative and results-driven individual with constant passion for progression and excellence. I have experience in both building & developing partnerships within the entertainment industry resulting in both incremental revenue and marketing offset for both the talent and brands involved. I am a persuasive communicator. My position in fast-paced international company has shaped my skills in relationship-building, negotiation, contracting. My skill set encompasses both brand partnerships and marketing in the UK and a few European territories, across the various campaigns I have coordinated, I have worked with multiple artist and content strands, from creation to promotional activity including music videos & product placement to festival and mass gigs with live streams regionally partnering with VUE cinemas for the premiere of Kasabian's Summer Solstice gig this summer with over 60,000 fans!
The role highlighted the significance of keeping up to date with what's happening in the industry, also the importance of establishing and maintaining relationships, using contacts to source work for their clients. I helped to promote artists’ work, and was often involved in liaison during the music recording process finding and booking events and venues that match the artist's career strategy, publicity and promotion, managing media relations on their behalf. I came to understand the nature of working in a fast paced environment, whilst working with multiple clients. I learnt the importance behind communication, artist knowledge, using one’s own initiative and effective time management within press. Responsibilities included: • Answering phone calls, and dealing with press requests • Chasing press passes, and concert/gig tickets • Cross referencing and checking guest list for shows/listening parties. • Scanning, re-sizing, jpeg –ing, searching for links of relevant coverage • Assisted with artist/event bookings, diary management and travel arrangements, nationally and internationally. • Assisted with PR used to support and highlight artists including showcases, interviews and photo shoots. • Meeting note taker, enlisted to make summarized précis of main points.
