About me

Helen, a native of Connecticut and avid traveler who has lived abroad in Milan and Amsterdam, has made her home in Brooklyn for the past nine years. Her love for writing began in middle school, where she achieved high scores in essay writing and followed into high school, where she was an active member of her school paper, The Viking Saga. Pursuing fashion/bridal styling, and working as a recruiter in her twenties gave her a solid background in both business and creative industries. However, she was still searching for the right career niche. She seriously considered returning to the writing she first fell in love with as a teenager. Dubious about the future of career opportunities in journalism, as a recruiter she saw that content and copywriters were in high demand, and decided to focus on transitioning her career. Helen graduated with a certificate in Professional Writing from UC Berkeley Extension in May 2018. She began her career as a Junior Copywriter at Stuart Weitzman, and now works as the only copywriter on the creative team at S'well. When she's not planning her next trip, Helen enjoys music, design, and making the perfect aperitif.
