    Dig + DiscoverBrief Delve into the world of Science using illustration to explore, explain and investigate. Concept The way the rock cycle is taught in school is complex and confusing, how can it be simplified? In the USA there are over 100 gem mining locations for families to visit, mine and collect a variety of gemstones. Solution ‘Dig + Discover’ is an activity book for children on their mining vacation, it’s designed to engage and teach them about the gemstones that they find, while also taking part in fun activities. The book includes a keepsake map of the USA, for the children to pin point their trip destinations and to plan their next vacation!

    24 CaratBrief Your task is to explore and celebrate craft and all that could entail. Research your chosen skill, discover as much as you can about it. Understand it and then devise a proposition to communicate it. Concept Most people wear an item of jewellery every day, however not many people know how they are actually created. On visiting Element Bespoke in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter I noticed a dramatic different from the shiny showroom sales area to the disorganised humble workshop. Every piece of work the goldsmith does creates masses of gold dust, & every speck is precious to them and saved. Solution To highlight the contrast between the perfect luxury showroom to the chaos and mess in the workshop through a jewellery brochure and the real way bespoke jewellery is created.
