I am an independent graphic designer with a focus on layout for trend and communication agencies, with a bachelors degree in Fashion Management and six years experience. I am based in Brighton but regularly (and gladly), work in London. I understand and think through visuals, turning maps upside down and colour co-ordinating food is a given for me. My appreciation for visual design and colour is what initially led me to fashion. Through my work in trend forecasting this naturally progressed into graphic design. Now, my work revolves around design, colour and communication. Coupled with a small, personal obsession with alignment and precision, working as a freelance graphic designer means that I love what I do. I travel whenever I can, could happily live on avocado and salted chocolate, regularly (ish) practice yoga; and always listen to Six Music (the latter, apparently, is a prerequisite for living in Brighton).
Delivering high quality creative design to specification and deadline, my knowledge and drive enables me to consistently exceed client’s expectations. With six years experience in design, production and coordination I have a demonstrable track record in undertaking both small and large-scale, online and print projects within rapidly evolving operational groups. I take pride in my professionalism, flexibility, creativity and attention to detail.
Reporting to the Chief Creative Officer and managing the Production Admin Assistant, this role combined design, management and project planning working with freelancers and in-house teams to produce timely and accurate publication of both online and print reports across international offices.
Prior to it’s merger with WGSN, Stylesight was one of the leading online content solutions for professionals in the style, fashion and design sectors. We created forecast reports for clients such as: Adidas, Brooks Brothers, Levi Strauss, Twentieth Century Fox and L’Oreal. As Manager of Editorial Production I headed the London team responsible for production of online content of three key sections of Stylesight.com. Whilst undertaking this new role I also developed my skills in graphic design, progressing to a dual role woking directly with the Art Director in design and layout of online reports.
Following an internship assisting the Trend Director, a permanent role was offered requiring management of the production of Forecast reports and prints and graphics. Responsible for art working original prints and graphics, and copy and accreditation proofing for all reports produced within the Paris and London offices this role provided a foundation for the development of my design capabilities.
