About me
I am a 22 year old writer, activist and creative. I have recently graduated from Loughborough University and am looking for work in the creative industries - particularly in journalism, copywriting, marketing or the music industry. I also run a blog called Henna Speaks, a safe space I have created where I explore topics including race, feminism and identity, as well as my experiences as a woman of colour.

Music EditorLoughborough Students Union Label Magazine
- Loughborough, United KingdomFull Time
I worked as the head of the Music section of my university’s student-run online magazine, Label, during my final year of university. I lead a team of volunteer writers and worked alongside them collaboratively to create and publish regular and creative articles. I co-ordinated and edited regular content on a wide range of musical topics/events consistently and accurately, producing high quality pieces of work. I independently conducted interviews with live performers at the Student’s Union, and wrote up said interviews. I was also nominated for Best Contribution to the Committee at the end of the year.

Produced monthly digital content for the website on a range of topics including album reviews, opinion pieces and interviews. I was given the opportunity to direct, carry out and write up an interview with an artist. I worked independently and proactively, pitching my own ideas and writing high quality, creative articles, where I also exhibited a high level of attention to detail
