Globally 70.8 million people have been forced to flee their homes and winter is hard for them. So Twitter and the UNHCR joined forces to #KnitForRefugees, an awareness campaign with a unique twist: Solidarity scarves knitted from Retweets, powered by a knitting machine.
By teaming up with Kniterate, we live-knitted three scarves featuring @handles of supporters from South America, the USA and the Middle East.
