About me
Hollie is an Australian artist who has recently relocated to London. Her work takes on a variety of forms including paintings, watercolour drawings, mural works and three dimensional works and installations. Hollie’s work is deeply process driven and her approach remains simple. Surfaces exhibit slabs of bright colours and intuitively composed shapes as she attempts to create pieces that visually stimulate and serve to decorate or enhance a space. In Australia she has built a strong reputation as an emerging artist, and has worked on a large variety of projects including; being commissioned to create and install a large window exhibition for a leading luxury retailer in Sydney, commissioned to create and install environmental graphics in public and private spaces, developing a line of printed cards with a stationary company, commissioned to create label packaging for a leading independent wine retailer, collaborating to produce a line of digitally printed textiles, and participating in solo and group exhibitions.   • Versailles Series
    Versailles SeriesA recent trip to Paris saw a visit out to the Palace of Versailles. I was immediately obsessed with all the textures and surfaces not only in the main palace but the surrounding living quarters. Architraves, walls, floors, vases, table tops and fire places were made up of beautifully toned marble and other stone and I ultimately found myself getting more photos of this than anything else. When i got back to London I uploaded my snaps to my computer and began playing with them in Photoshop. Then I obsessed over this, and compiled an array of layered images that celebrate the finer details of the French site. These digital compositions have subsequently become the Versailles Series - A collection of twelve mash ups of textures from the Palace of Versailles combined with some heavy layers of Hollie.

    States And SpacesStates and Spaces was Hollie's third Solo exhibition held at China Heights Gallery in Sydney, Australia. The collection of work was a series of circular patternscapes that reflected on the act of meditation and the role that creation played in that.
