Work history

2017

Photographer

LFW Festival

Feb 2017 - Feb 2017
  • Internship
  • In February I took part at the London Fashion Week Festival as a photographer. This was a great experience which I thoroughly enjoyed. It showed that I was able to work in a face paced environment whilst ensuring high quality pictures. I was able to adjust the camera angle and maintain in focus images. After the experience was over, I had to use my creative eye and remove the weaker images. I have learnt to be critical towards my own work and also improve it by photo manipulation if needed. This work experience was beneficial as it strengthened my confidence and also allowed me to work in an unfamiliar environment yet remain professional at all times.

2015

Model Dresser

Graduate Fashion Week

May 2015 - May 2015
  • Internship
  • Throughout my first year and NUA, I was lucky enough to get the opportunity in assisting Designers back stage and dressing the models before their collection went on the run way. This required delicacy and great care with the garments to make sure they fit correctly and didn't fault. I also had to ensure they were how the designer wanted them to look before they were on show for the public. This was a great experience as I was able to be very precise with the final outcome.

2016

Sales Assistant

Next

Oct 2012 - Dec 2016
  • Full Time
  • I worked in Next as a part time sales assistant. As part of my job, I have been trained to dress mannequins, prepped the sale, work back of house as well as on shop floor, serve the costumers and overcome their problems when in store. I was trusted to be left alone and complete phase change as well as directing a team. I am a fast worker and can efficiently complete tasks to the best standard I can. Due to having this job over such a long period of time I can say that I am a reliable and trusted individual as I was always asked, by others, for help and also asked to work overtime. I am punctual and keen to assist the customer.

  • I have studied at this university for three years and will have graduated come July. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at NUA as it put me through great obstacles that I didn't think I would be able to overcome but I did! It taught me a lot about the type of person I am and what I can achieve. It gave me a lot more self confidence and belief.
