About me
I’m a recent Graphic Communication with Typography graduate, specialising in editorial and publishing. The printed page is my obsession – from copywriting to layout, photography to illustration. A diverse range of projects has honed my handling of hierarchy and typesetting, leading to considered and impactful designs across a range of media.
Although my work is often physical, I have experience creating digital editorial designs, such as an identity proposal for the University of Plymouth publication, Message, a journal exploring typography.
I like designing for a purpose; another party needs to benefit to make my work worthwhile. While studying, I’ve tackled the misrepresentation of periods in advertising and challenged the perception that guys can’t knit. As a result of my work, my target audience should feel seen and heard – freer. I see every project as an opportunity to bring a client’s idea to life and I’m not afraid to learn something new to help them get there.
Projects
- More Than Meets the Eye – Exhibition EditorialSpace is often characterised as direct and unemotive, alienating many from engaging with this stirring area of exploration. Focussing on Pluto, this theoretical editorial for We the Curious, Bristol, aims to highlight that the human experience of space is deeply personal and affecting.
