I have been working across film and television for nearly five years, spending a year at Working Title Films, production assisting on Paddington, assisting the producer on the BBC's War & Peace, writing, directing and producing a short film in Los Angeles and recently assisting the Executive Producer and development assisting at Fragile Films and Ealing Studios. I have worked on several side projects and write features, shorts, TV pilots and editorial pieces in my free time.Locked Pro Plan feature
I write, direct and produce shorts, features and shows for myself and others. I did all three on a short family drama in LA in June 2015, and have since produced a leg of a longer project for an upcoming music producer and film director.
I worked across development, providing coverage and book reports, researching background materials and putting together pitch documents for new films and TV shows on our slate. I also helped with general production tasks, liaising with co-producers, casting directors, sales, literary and talent agents, and sourcing locations for a feature shoot in autumn 2017.
I developed several scripts for feature and short films and read new submissions, compiling talent lists and meeting subject specialists to hone ideas. I also helped organise and oversee Raindance LA events for filmmakers in Hollywood.
I assisted the producer across all departments, helping with script changes, shoot scheduling, location scouting, casting and the sourcing of HODs for the highly acclaimed adaptation of Tolstoy's classic. I oversaw rehearsals, read-throughs and actors' necessary training such as horse riding and traditional dance, helping ensure that everyone was prepared for a six-month shoot in Russia, Lithuania and Latvia.
I assisted cast and crew where necessary in logistics, scheduling and general supply, helping keep the production well stocked and informed throughout the three-month shoot (including many nights) around London's hotspots.
I helped the WT finance team over two stints, coordinating the outlay of current productions like Les Miserables and The World's End and helping with the cost forecasting of several future shoots, such as The Theory of Everything, Everest and Legend. I also kept a handle on the company's overhead and development costs and, in my free time, I assisted the development department, providing coverage on several scripts such as Bridget Jones's Baby and the upcoming The Snowman.
