- Ourselves + OthersInspired by Nigerian scholar Obioma Nnaemeka’s theory of nego-feminism - a strand of African feminism - the ourselves + others: African feminist re-CREATIONS at SOAS will offer a unique mix of intellectual and performance-oriented programming. Centering women and nonbinary artists of African ascent, the festival will feature cutting-edge visual art, feminist theory, creative entrepreneurship, salons, live music, an afterparty, and more. The curated art and conversations will explore feminism, silence, and the body.

I've completed an M.A. in Global Creative and Cultural Industries from SOAS, University of London. My dissertation was entitled, "Listening to Nigerias in London: A Reflexive Space for the Présence Africaine in First-Generation African Art."
