- How to direct and shoot remotely? My Lockdown experienceDuring the lockdown I wrote and directed a short film about the self-isolation. All the work was done remotely - me staying in one city and the actress Varvara Shmykova and the DOP Evgeny Kozlov in another. It was an unusual experience - to make it possible I first shot a full pre-viz by myself, then we did a couple of rehearsals via Zoom. - SAMSUNG 360° Film - How to direct a 360°?Produced by Zebra Hero, Russia for Samsung YouTube TV Director - Andrey Paoukov The film is shot in 360° format. The creative idea was to enrich the story by adding activities happening around the camera. While Andrey was directing the main scene, my role was to direct all actors around the camera, to encourage the audience to look around and rotate the screen. Apart from the main story we had a subplot, so almost all people in the film are actors, not extras. The biggest challenge was to direct actors without having a traditional playback, which 360 a camera couldn't provide - you could see a part of a footage, but not the whole picture. So we had to orchestrate the set precisely to make sure that every take was good.
- Exploring Greece: Digital CampaignDigital Video Campaign: Exploring Greece Client: Greek National Tourism Organisation Produced by Ilya Polyakov (Burda Media) How to attract tourists to Greece? We came up with 3 formats: 1) Greece speaks Russian - a series of comedy videos, in which random Greek people are asked to say popular Russian phrases - sayings, lyrics etc. 2) Hyperlapses - a series of videos to establish the beauty of Greece. 3) Cooking videos - A series of how-to-cook videos with traditional and easy Greek recipies.
