I am a journalist covering sports, LGBTQ+ issues and pop culture. I studied Politics at Durham University before going onto to New York City to undertake a masters at Columbia Journalism School. After I graduated from Columbia I spent some months working at a nonprofit newsroom covering the five boroughs of New York.
On a personal note I am a big Arsenal fan and spend most of my time watching or playing sports.
When I am not doing that, I love attending concerts and gigs. I fell in love with live music during my time in New York and I gained a greater appreciation for the performance of the art.

I write for GiveMeSport part time. I did this on top of my full time job at THE CITY in New York. Of course, GiveMeSport is based in London and thus on a different time zone so I often would have to wake up at 3, 4 or 5 a.m. to work a shift and then go on to my full time job at THE CITY. I did this simply because I love writing about sports. It was hard work and there were certainly days I was very tired but I wouldn't change it because I simply enjoyed writing about the things that interest me and, importantly, interest other people. I am, however, glad to be back in the same timezone now in London.

I spent some months working at a nonprofit newsroom covering the five boroughs of New York. I covered COVID-19, climate events, eldery centers and even a story about dead pets in New York. I was also a part of the audience team and learnt about the behind-the-scenes of a newsroom, particularly a nonprofit organisation was eye opening to say the least. Learning about certain metrics of success, diversifying revenue streams and the business side of journalism in general was a fascinating and useful experience which provided me with a better understanding of the industry early on in my career.
