Intern: Assisting the administrative team, sales team and specialists, whilst gaining an insight into the work of an international art business and observing day-to-day operations - I was given various tasks to complete by the Administrative Team, the Interiors Business Manager and several specialists. ? - I assisted with upcoming sales by targeting potential buyers for several categories; organising information for catalogues, assessing data by using and creating spreadsheets, and by helping to create a presentation for an upcoming meeting.
Reporting Coordinator: Responsible for compiling reports and data sets and liaising with the sales teams - Excellent organisation and communication skills were required in a fast-paced environment; I became proficient in Microsoft Excel. - I assisted with planning campaigns by using research, data and insight to provide the best possible service for clients. Campaign Executive: Responsible for supporting and delivering campaigns to maximise sales potential - I managed campaigns from start to finish, ensuring each campaign was delivered into store correctly. - I acted as a point of contact for clients and ensured the correct operational and reporting departments were fully briefed in time to be able to deliver the services required to fulfill the client’s objectives. - Other tasks included supporting sales proposals with sourcing costs, gathering artwork and store lists. I also took it upon myself to use social media more to gain a further insight for different brands, as well as create a newsletter.
Administration Assistant: Responsible for the organisational and clerical duties within the Leeds office, processing appeals made by the public - I was a provider of information and prepared the details and correspondence for whoever then reviewed the appeal. - Tasks included preparing letters, inputting data, arranging files, acting as a point of contact, and handling highly confidential material.
Project Developer (Voluntary): Responsible for researching the creative industries within towns and cities that could have an ‘InSitu’ (East Street Arts temporary space) and presenting these findings - This role involved overseeing the activities in the spaces, invigilating the gallery space, researching and making connections with local artists. - I voluntarily completed reports on various areas in England that will be used for the project and for general use.
Intern: Administrative support to the General Director’s office, HR department and the Howard Assembly Room. Responsible for liaison between various departments - Tasks included managing documents; reviewing programmes; extracting data; liaising with various departments;using the intranet; arranging schedules; dealing with legislation and contracts, to ensure that the office ran smoothly. - I continued to work as an Event Assistant/Host in my spare time.
Project Officer: Responsible for the review of R&D projects and applications, involving data archiving and working closely with researchers - This position involved the review of amendments for research projects, data cleaning and archiving. - I was required to work closely with researchers to assist them in their application for NHS permission; coordinating documents and entering them onto databases; and providing excellent customer service. - After initial introduction, this position was largely unsupervised, requiring individual direction.
