Graduating in London in Creative Digital Media, Imran Suleiman chose photography and videography as his platform to emerge into as a producer and storyteller. He began amateur photography in early 2016 and directed and produced his own short movies (exported onto YouTube) and is still every day looking for new opportunities for growth in his career. These days, his work as a creative is directly correlated with his constant exploration of human behaviours and society, through documentary filmmaking. His style is inspired by Wes Anderson’s symmetrical composition and Cam Kirk’s blending of photography and rap music.Locked Pro Plan feature
Sales Assistant job at Vue Cinema, experience in helping customers assess their needs and also experience in dealing with customers and people in general, I have been working there almost three years now so it has become a really comfortable and easy job for me.
The eagerness to capture style with his photography mixed with culture through his street photography, birthed this project. Six participants are photographed dressed in their cultural traditional clothing and posed with something that represents modern life in East London. The contrast between old and new was an interesting take on modern life, a cross between tradition and modernity. Photographing in various locations around London, Imran best displays his ability to shoot purposefully for the project aim, while capturing a cool and stylistic approach to the photographs simultaneously. The photographs on display at The Old Baths Cafe encourages the audience to observe the vibrancy and distinctiveness of the cultures represented.
