Rootless Garden is a social enterprise that combats loneliness by providing engaging activities for older people in London. We use activities inspired by nature to encourage mental and physical well-being through independence, communication and creativity. I founded the organisation with a friend after our joint experiences of working with older people. We managed to secure start-up funding and run for over two years, winning accolades from the Mayor of London, the Guardian and Nesta. My responsibilities included operations, business development, communications strategy and project delivery.
