As Brixton BID went through its reballot, marketing and communications became a vital imortance for the BID. My responsibilties included promotional event management, social media management, community engagement, project and partner coordiantion and overseeing wider reaching advetorials targeting the tourist market.

BDT is a model of community placemaking that values culture and heritage, amplifies local talent and contributes to Brixton’s reputation as one of London’s most interesting cultural destinations. Brixton was a London Design Festival Design Route in 2018 and a Design District in 2017 My responsibilties are very broad and included social media management, finaince, project management, event planning, marketing and communications, print design and production, licensing and running workshops. We worked with over 50 seperate events this year, coordianting each one whilst promoting BDT as an organsiation and securing sponsership deals from Tangle Teezer and Muse Developements. This community organisation is fast becoming an integral part of Brixtons creative and cultural scene.
