About me
I am due to complete my degree this July in Textile design for Fashion and Interior, specialism stitch, where I completed briefs and projects for Unique Style Platform, Textile Environmental Design, The Fashion and Textile Museum and Philippa Wagner, an international colour project with links in Mexico and studied popular culture, Consumption and environmental design. I have also been lucky to work with The Design Museum, The Ideas Foundation, FAD Fashion Futures, Vidal Sassoon, Wella, Albert Patrony and The White Chapel Gallery where I worked with a group on a curating project. With each of these projects I have become deadline driven with strong time management skills. I have the Ability to think both creatively and analytically, an excellent work ethic, ability to multitask and I’m a team player, confidently able to build relationships with internal and external teams. While my degree has taught me to identify my own creative voice, I have strong knowledge of brands and seasonal trends, which advanced during my internship at luxury jewellery brand By Alona, as well as knowledge of Social/Cultural Trends (fashion, art, music, pop culture, celebrities, news, etc.). To each project and opportunity I have brought enthusiasm, excellent communication skills and an in-depth knowledge of fashion and textiles. Designers and artists such as Burberry, Hussein Chalayan, Alexis Bittar, Eva Hesse, Joseph Beuys and Juergen Teller, really have inspired me and enhanced my passion for the industry with their innovative collections. Ultimately I want to learn about the fashion industry. I want to know what makes people tick, how to run a successful business or brand and to enhance my own creativity.
