Hello, my name is Isabella Batten. I am a creative of sorts. As most designers, I have a great love for detail and craft. I have been exploring graphic design since 2011 when at the age of 15 took my first graphic design course. I continue to define and redefine what it means to be a graphic designer as well as a creator. Most of my work is very meaning and concept driven as the end result is generally a culmination of research about topics that have caught my attention. Each project is unique in it's own way but they each intermingle with similarities as their common denominator is having me as the creator.

I began my studies in the field of graphic design in 2011. I attended a specialized art and design high school in Miami, FL where students were taught fine art alongside a design discipline of their choosing (architecture, fashion design, graphic design, cinematography and industrial design). After completing my high school level, I went on to pursue a BFA in graphic design at the Maryland Institute College of Art where I graduated in May 2018. Here I explored more of the skills and refined my knowledge of design. I also concentrated in book arts as a way to cater to my love for detail and craft in a more hands-on setting.
