Having recently returned from a two year travelling stint in Australia, I am now looking to return to a junior creative role, in keeping with my previous experience and qualifications. I have a strong History of Art degree from the University of Manchester and have volunteered in several art galleries across the country. Before Australia, I worked in creative, online retail, but since my return 11 months ago I have held a highly organisational administrative role at the Hawksmoor in Piccadilly Circus. Currently based in Camberwell, South London.
Main duties include: - Responsible for boosting the reservations of the Air Street branch. - Marketing the Hawksmoor brand to local businesses. - Weekly reservations reports, analysing current trends and predicting possible future covers to aid staffing in each department. - Daily, weekly and monthly Excel numbers reports to head office. - Keeping an up-to-date audit for the creative team. - Developing customer profiles. - Complaints handling. - Staff training. - Creating daily written briefings to a team of 60+. - General reception and administrative duties.
Business development role for a home interiors, online, retail company. A small company of just five meant a hugely varied role. My main duties included: - Placing daily orders with suppliers. - Writing online product descriptions. - Photographing products for online listing. - Managing the eBay accounts, Amazon account, company website and online sales. - Tending to all inboxes. - Stock checks. - General reception duties. - Customer services. - Organising courier collections.
Sales and allocations of event tickets to both games for National/International Olympic Committee members and athlete's family and friends. The role lasted the duration of the games in London during the summer of 2012. Main duties included: - Allocating tickets to country committees. - Face to face sales with committee members. - Order processing. - The quick learning of two online ticketing platforms. - Formatting receipts. - Processing orders. - Booking conference rooms. - Meeting with clients. - Problem solving.
Photography, props design and props making for the largest non-profit, student-run event in the UK.
A one off photography commission for the illustration of a new book.
Volunteered to research little known paintings in the permanent collection. Also organised the ordering and filing of photographs for the upcoming Penlee Lifeboat exhibition.
Assisted a weekly children's art class held in the gallery on Saturdays. Children were taught how to build their own living, breathing plant sculptures. Organisational skills proved key with a class of 20 children!

A largely research based degree, with a huge focus on written (70%) and presentation (20%) style assessments, as well as project work (10%). Remained an active member of the Manchester University Society for Emerging Artists (MUSEA) throughout all three years. Engaged and helped co-ordinate group outings to European galleries (Berlin, Madrid) as well as arts social events. Degree class 2:1.
