My responsibility as a Shoot Assistant include ensuring all product required to be shot is prepped and steamed, investigating any missing or damaged product and providing the best studio environment for my team and department.Working in the studio specialising in denim and tailoring, my duties also include reporting to production when an item is an incorrect size or faulty, ensuring there is specific styling for product and to liase with buyers when necessary. I am also the main assistant within the menswear department to oversee styling orders, studio management when it comes to laundry, facilities needs and styling kit supplies. Most recently I have been trained in Capture One and have been acting as Shoot Coordinating and have been coordinating my own shoots from ASOS own buy, outlet and branded products across the menswear department.
As a stylist I have worked with clients such as Otho and have been featured in publications such as Kneon, Vanity Teen, Syn, Jute, Superior, Push it, Style Noir, BUMF and NIL. My responsibilities include working closely with photographers, make up and hair artists, set designers and models in creating fashion imagery to the highest standard, creating mood boards, liasing with PR companies and designers for calling in and returning clothing, liasing with modelling agencies, industry clients and managing interns and teams on set in terms of creative direction and styling.
I have worked as an assistant stylist throughout the years for publications such as The Ingenue, MixMag, Used, Spashion, Fantastics and Harrods Magazine. My job roles include collecting an returning product, steaming product, dressing the model, looking clothes and accessories throughout the shoot, noting down clothing credits as well as liasing with PR companies in gathering product for the shoot.
As Fashion Intern for Harrods Magazine, my tasks range from assisting on different shoot for exclusive features for the Harrods brand, this includes clothing and accessory preparation, steaming, dressing models and noting down clothing credits on set. My role also requires me to oversee product returns for high end brands and to liaise with press offices. I have also assisted with pulling product for shoots and trend reports for Harrods Magazine and it's other publications such as Harrods Man.
My position as Casting Assistant meant working to book models for the Sankuanz SS16 Presentation for London Collections: Men. This involved closely working with both the Head Designer of Sankuanz and the Producer ensuring we had the right models for the brand image. This meant liasing with model agencies and bookers and working to ensure all the information regarding models were organised and accessible. My duties also included the model line up, backstage prep and maintenance and managing runners.
Family PR manages the production of a variety of high profile events, I have worked on several seasons at London Collections: Men and London Fashion Week. My role as Senior Runner requires me to work in a small team, my tasks range from managing the back and front of house guest list, showspace and backstage maintenance, front of house greeting and seating and managing runners and interns. I have worked on shows which include Paul Smith, Pringle of Scotland and Topshop.
My title as Studio Assistant meant working to build the Nasir Mazhar SS15 collection. I worked from start to finish apart of a small studio team on the collection. My duties included fabric sourcing, pattern making, toile construction through to making press samples and show pieces. I also liased with suppliers and manufacturers chasing up production deadlines as well as acting as a backstage dresser and assistant for the Nasir Mazhar show and press party at London Collections: Men.
My duties as Print Intern was to work toward the Jonathan Saunders Menswear and Womenswear Resort 2015 Collection. This consisted of developing print and pattern samples, editing colour ways, constructing garment specs using Adobe Creative Suite, developing mood boards, colour matching fabrics and archiving past collections and materials, as well as studio ad hoc and maintenance in a fast paced environment.
My role as the Julia Cameron Press Agent was to oversee the luxury jewellery brands online presence. This consisted of overseeing the inception of the company blog, updating the Julia Cameron Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages, writing press releases as well as creating press advertisements using Photoshop. I was also in charge of managing several of the brands pop up shops across London which included events such as Mama Browns.
After interning for Chase PR I was hired as an press assistant at the company. My role was to manage interns, write press releases, construct media alerts using Adobe Creative Suite, book out samples for shoots for high profile clients, update the company Instagram to raise interest over products, visual merchandising and inventory on the office system as well as general ad hoc.
I am learned in both fashion promotion, such as styling and press; and fashion design and construction, including menswear design, pattern cutting and garment production.
