About me

I am a Sofia-based multidisciplinary visual artist. Between 2014 and 2017 I lived in London, where I delved into experimental animation and created several animated short films recognized by numerous international film festivals. Upon my return to Sofia, I refocused my main practice towards live visualisations and projection mapping. My works are mixed-media, combining a variety of techniques, including handdrawn animation, 2D & 3D digital animation and film collage.

• UgaritCollaboration with the Syrian musician Amjad Jad for an exhibition organised by The UN Refugee Agency.
• The Last IkarusA Phormatik Lab Project. https://phormatik.com/work_posts/360-ikarus/ To mark the end of the "Regional Development 2014-2020" program period, the Ministry of Regional Development commissioned us with creating a large scale installation, commemorating the achievements of the program. We took a city icon, a vintage Ikarus bus, and positioned it on a prominent spot in Sofia. A 360 degree projection created a unique spectacle for thousands of spectators.

  European Capital of Culture 2019A Phormatik Visual Lab Project. On the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall and the inauguration of Plovdiv as an European Capital of Culture 2019, the only traveling collection of original Berlin Wall fragments was displayed in Plovdiv as the Art Liberte Exhibition. We were given the opportunity to create a large-scale 3D Projection Mapping piece for the facade of the Plovdiv Municipal Building.
• Silent LondonA celebration of community’s instinctual need for unity through dance. Inside the club, the borders of reality become blurry to open up truths outside of representation. Outside of the club stretches out a vast cityscape of urban mundanity.
