About me
I have been working within a strategic communications and marketing agency for just over a year now, where I have contributed to the success of a number of exciting projects (head to the projects section and take a look!) and gained a range of valuable skills. I am diligent and committed, and approach any and all tasks presented to me with confidence, enthusiasm and creative flair. I am constantly looking for new opportunities to learn, and am always mindful of how I can add value to an organisation.
Projects
  • European Social Media Launch
European Social Media LaunchWorked with ten European franchises of a US-based biotech company, to help prepare them to launch and manage country-level social media channels. This project involved two stages. The first was to conduct research using a powerful social media analytics tool into the conversation taking place about the company and its key disease areas, on a country by country basis. We used insights uncovered by the research to make tailored recommendations about the best approach to engaging with the public online in each country. Findings were presented back to each of the European franchises, generating a great deal of excitement, and providing valuable knowledge about the online conversations taking place in their markets. The second stage is still in progress but involves collaborating with designers to develop a visually engaging Playbook, to facilitate the launch of social media channels by the ten European franchises, in a way that is aligned to standards set by global HQ. When finished, the Playbook will equip the franchises with the tools and know-how to launch their own social media channels, in a smart, measured way, whilst encouraging creative freedom. Launch is still pending, but the European franchises are eager and engaged, and everyone is looking forward to launch.
  • Nationwide Educational Meeting Series
Nationwide Educational Meeting SeriesWorking on behalf of a pharmaceutical client, my team and I planned, organised and delivered six regional educational meetings for doctors and nurses across the UK. The aim of the meeting series was to combine the promotion of an innovative new Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) treatment, with high-quality education on other hot-topics in IBD. This involved briefing in nationally acclaimed speakers to deliver educational content; working with designers to develop invitations and other materials; managing attendees and organising logistics. Each meeting was met with overwhelmingly positive feedback from attendees, solidifying the client's standing among the IBD community and reinforcing its reputation for providing educational excellence.
  • Augmented Reality Internal Comms Programme
Augmented Reality Internal Comms ProgrammeWorking as part of a team, I took a lead in the project management of an internal communications programme, which was rolled out across the European offices of a global biotech company. The project involved briefing in and managing designers, video agencies and translators, in the delivery of engaging and inspiring augmented reality assets, with the aim of generating excitement among employees at the launch of a new drug. The programme was completed on schedule and to budget, and received excellent feedback from audiences, despite a complex and changing brief and tight timelines.

Job Role: Clinical Research Intern I spent a year at MSD, a global pharmaceutical company, on placement as part of my Biochemistry degree. As a Clinical Research Intern, I worked at hospitals across the country to oversee large clinical trials. Even though the role wasn't something I wanted to pursue following graduation, it did help me to develop key skills in administration and logistics, which have been useful ever since.
