About me
I’m Jack Hobbs, currently working as an Editorial Manger for TalkTalk TV. I work across Rent/Own, Pay and Free to Air TV. My position includes account management for film studios including Disney, HBO and Sony, also working with channel partners including Sky, BBC and Fox. I collaborate with these content partners to run offers, competitions, promotions and events. I’m responsible for all shop-front content and merchandising of the TalkTalk TV platform and TalkTalk TV website which both generate thousands of sales and page views every week. Other duties include sales reporting, coordination and sign-off of marketing activity, working with content management systems, copy writing, and content recommendations for ads, emails, videos and social media.

    Working for TalkTalk TV across Rent/Own, Pay and Free to Air TV. Account manager for various film studios including Disney, HBO and Sony as well as working closely with TV channels such as Sky One, Fox and BBC in order to surface, support and promote their Film and TV content via a variety of marketing channels. Such channels include websites, TV adverts, door drop adverts, customer videos, customer emails, social media and blogs. Selecting the right content at the right time for media campaigns and merchandising purposes in order to keep current customers engaged and attract new customers to the product on offer. The role requires the need to build strong relationships with content partners, the ability to plan far in advance and ensure we work in the best interests of all parties involved. Working with multiple clients on different projects simultaneously takes able multitasking skills and the need to be a strong communicator who can confidently negotiate advice and be firm whilst fostering relationships. • Building strong relationships with content partners to negotiate added value and maximise exposure of TalkTalk TV • Working with studio partners to run offers, competitions, promotions and events to promote their content, engage customers and increase revenue • Responsibility for all shop-front content and the delivery of relevant, timely and effective merchandising of the TalkTalk TV platform and TalkTalk TV website • Reviewing quarterly marketing support packages, ensuring editorial and marketing commitments are fulfilled and reporting on spend, sales and profit for key content • Writing, proof reading and editing copy across customer emails, articles and blogs to promote content, ensuring the information is accurate, and the correct language and company tone of voice is used • Arranging and attending quarterly meetings with studio partners and representing TalkTalk TV as main contact for Rent/Own Film and TV • Preparing quarterly presentations to key content partners; covering featured new releases, library activity and reporting on marketing support given in previous quarter • Co-ordination and sign-off of marketing activity featuring or promoting content partner assets • Managing the delivery of design collateral required for shop front placements • Delivering market activity and competitor analysis reports in support of the forecasting process and merchandising planning • Working with various content management systems and collaborating with the Content Engagement team to communicate the content calendar to customers and throughout the business • Presenting stats and highlights around upcoming TalkTalk TV film releases at internal monthly TV meeting • Being reactive to news events and current affairs to surface relevant items when they’re topical
