Underwriting
Underwriting Assistant in the marine team, specifically Cargo and Specie.
Responsibilities including:
- Day to day assistance of class underwriter
- Data entry of risks and clerical handling of confidentialinsurance documentation
- Report monitoring
- Agg entry and monitoring including a complete overhaul of how we recorded our aggregates on each of our risks exposed. This requires quite extensive use of excel.
- Slip review process (quarterly peer review of another class of business’s insurance documentation. A very keen eye for detail is required here.
- Data quality and contract certainty checks
- Assistance with on goings at the 'box' in Lloyd of London.
- Day to day dealings with brokers.
- Basic endorsement alterations to contracts.
- Liaising with global clients.
- Diary management and travel assistance for Senior underwriters
- Bi annual presentation to whole company on my specific class of business.

-The company is a media advisory firm that provides guidance, fundraising and investment in film, television and theatre projects as well as TV/Film production. I spent time observing all elements of the company.
