About me
Since graduating from Shillington Design College I have successfully completed two Graphic Design internships. This lead to a designer role at Smart Soho. I won pitches for the company and followed the projects through to completion, which has developed my creative skillset and it’s application. I have liased with my own clients which has fine tuned my communication skills in a professional environment, I have worked independently and as part of a team to successfully meet the needs of my clients. I have recently freelanced at ‘To The Point’ design agency where I won high profile jobs for the company and had my work featured on ‘designweek.co.uk’, ‘brandrepublic.com’ and tweeted by Steven Fry. My creative approach is constantly evolving and progressing, I have sold screenprints of my artwork through my online shop over the years and I’m currently illustrating a book. This keeps me productive and helps me develop my conceptual ideas which I apply to my professional work.
Projects
  • Twitter
TwitterWhilst working for ‘ToThePoint’ I created a concept for a graphic installation. Twitter are opening new office space in Hamburg and wanted an illustration for some internal window displays. Myself and fellow designers were asked to incorporate shipping containers into our concepts as they feature prominently on the docks of Hamburg. My concept was an asymetrical graphic pattern, some shapes are shipping containers, others are purely decorative, the white strips running through the pattern are to
  • KI
KIWhilst working freelance I was asked to create the logo and branding for the MMA fighter Khalid Ismail. I was very interested by this brief as branding for fighting sports is usually very loud and aggressive. However Khalid wanted something more subtle for his T-shirt line, something fans may want to wear in day to day life, and something he would want to wear himself.
  • Act For The Act
Act For The Act‘Act For The Act’ is a campaign to stop changes to the Human Rights Act which has gained alot of media attention recently. Whilst working for ‘To The Point’ I developed the two logo’s below and two posters that were chosen by ‘Act For The Act’, and my designs were featured on designweek.co.uk, brandrepublic.com and tweeted by Stephen Fry. The group have since reached their target of £50,000 for promotion and marketing which means my work will feature on advertising space across the London Underground, Overground and bus network.
  • Firelex
FirelexWhile at Smart Soho I was asked to design a new app, a social media platform for bankers to communicate with one another and organise themselves around each others schedules.
  • No.5 St Helens
No.5 St HelensWhile working for Smart Soho I was asked to design a brochure to advertise new office space available in central London. I had to develop a concept that promoted the benefits of an open plan environment, high up in the city.
  • ITC
ITCITC is an IT company, specialising in security systems to keep their clients safe from bugs and viruses. Each week ITC post the ‘Threat of the Week’ onto their blog, this shares information about potential threats and things to look out for. Whilst working at Smart Soho I was asked to provide concepts for an ‘End of Year’ book, summarising the ‘Threat of the Week’ blog posts.
