The Orchard is a large independent music and media distribution, marketing and sales company with an extensive distribution network across Europe and the US.
I initially started working for the company after being selected as part of my university degree to partake in a project involving two artists recently signed to The Orchards management and artist services division. The project involved creating and implementing a digital marketing campaign primarily based around the use of social media, leading up to the acts debut release. The project culminated in a plenary to present our campaign, which was attended by a number of representatives from various music and media companies.
From working on the project, I was then able to obtain a position working in The Orchards interactive marketing department. The job involved working with various artists/clients of the company on creative digital campaigns. The position comprised of numerous duties including designing and putting together press material as well as running advertising campaigns mainly through social media. Once the campaigns were completed, presentations would then be assembled for the client to assess the effectiveness of the campaign. Finally, the role also meant assisting the rest of the marketing team on various other tasks.
