They have developed into one of the most exciting performance companies in the UK, gaining critical acclaim across their diverse body of work of opera, music, video, apps and immersive theatre. Commissions include Southbank Centre, Royal Albert Hall, ICA, Women’s Library, Fig 2, Almeida Theatre, Bicester Village, Top Man, Channel 4 and BBC Radio 4.
Launch manager for new business concept from Soho House. Soho Works is a creative hub and co working desk space to be launched worldwide. Part of the development team of the first site in Shoreditch, taking responsibility for project management on a large scale. Created the concept and strategy for pre launch and launch events programme. Researched insights not only to create a detailed report on the events vision for Shoreditch but for all future sites. Planned blueprint for all other departments to work to. Managed the overall programming and scheduling working closely with brands such Random House, Conde Naste and Thames and Hudson as well as more local producers, artists and makers. A choreographed dance sequence performed throughout the high street. Co-ordination of performers including booking of travel. Negotiation of fees and strict budget management.
LYSISTRATA Sell out, debut UK performance starring Charlotte Church amongst others. Commissioned by the Almeida Theatre as part of their Greek Season. Co-ordinating extensive rehearsal time, making arrangements for Charlotte Church, vigilant with Health Safety and amended scripts and props alongside the Almeida production team. Managed a lengthy freelance team. Developed press release and worked alongside The Almedia marketing team to fully promote the show.
Curating, Booking and managing the events cycle at Shoreditch House. Over 60 events per month, highlighting the whole cultural spectrum including Music, Literature, Innovation, Film, Art, Design, Architecture, Well being and Business skills. Direct control of managing budgets and finances and sole negotiator to brands, artists and management labels. Manage a team of junior staff as well co-ordinating interdepartmentally with Marketing, Membership and Brands teams. Responsible for reporting and feeding back to directors on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis. - Budget management - Management of junior and senior team members with the events programming team and wider marketing department - Events creation. ICA x FIG 2 Yap! Yap! Yap! A weeklong interactive art exhibition combining live performance, large-scale video, printed work and musical elements. Fully responsible for devising the show from concept to production, alongside Deborah Coughlin. Oversaw negotiating and managing performers and makers. Sourced suppliers. Controlled budget and delivered the show within the limitation. Devised a press release and saw it delivered across national and specialist press.
