About me
I have been working in the fashion industry for 5 years in both retail and production. During this time, I also studied tailoring at Newham College and several short courses. I enjoy attending courses and events to continually develop my skills and knowledge to pursue a successful career. To keep updated, I follow fashion trends through events, magazines, social media and the internet websites, such as BoF and Fashion Forum. I am very interested in the commercial aspects of the fashion industry and enjoy trying to predict the next trends and following ideas from around the world.
At Asvarischtsch, I worked closely with the creative director and we maintained a good working relationship together throughout the making of the collection.
Typically, there would be a weekly meeting where the creative director and I would discuss any difficulties we had encountered, find solutions and plan the next stage in the construction of the garments. I then usually worked alone making the garments whilst the creative designer was busy promoting the collection.
As well as having sole responsibility for making the collection, I would attend meetings with clients and business associates, as well photo shoots and promotional events.
