I handle the full workflow of getting master materials of a feature film from a Sale Agent or Producer, through to the logistics of films being exhibited theatrically and making the title available on VOD platforms, Television and DVD. I am the logistical point of contact for film screenings, create and distribute marketing materials, quality check DCPs and DVDs prior to Theatrical and Home Entertainment release. In addition, I’ve taken my previous experience working in post-production and I am able to apply it to maximise productivity and efficiency of delivering materials to cinemas, broadcasters and VOD platforms alike, displaying proficiency in editing content in house, saving time and money.
I used systems such as FCP, Adobe CS, Digital Rapids and Alchemist OD to transcode film and television programmes, editing them to each client’s unique specifications. This was as well as quality check output to the highest industry standard companies such as iTunes and Netflix demand. The role was coupled with file ingesting and liaison with clients, updating them as to their job's progress, any challenges we might encounter and how best to resolve these issues. As the senior, I helped with the training of junior operators and handled some of the more advanced orders and workflows we had coming through the department, such as DPP spec file creation and DL3 workflows.
The projects involved filming and editing material for marketing and retail insight. This included analyzing and editing CCTV footage, filming focus groups and conferences, utilizing discreet camera footage and on the street vox-pops.
I freelance in the production of corporate, short film and music video creation. I have worked on projects such as TEDxEaling and on projects for companies such as Vision Express, Milwaukee Tools and Match.com. I have been a guest speaker at two universities, giving lectures on Transmedia and Collaborative Storytelling, worked at the London Screenwriters' Festival for four years and at The Great American Pitchfest in LA.
