Founder of the international clothing brand [Rupert and Buckley]. James spent his early career launching what soon became a Sunday Times Fast Track 100 clothing brand. Opening stores across the UK and in over an additional 125 locations, James has won several awards for his impact on the UK retail startup industry. James later sold and exited Rupert and Buckley in 2016. A talented and startup orientated leader with extensive skills in retail, operations, marketing & analytics, branding, product management, delivery, reporting and growth management. James now consults with retail startups in both London and San Francisco. Specifically within three main areas; branding & marketing, brand operations, and investment raising. As well as ensuring startups are maintaining a lean growth model, and delivering a valuable product or service to the market, James is a passionate retail enthusiast and hosts an online video series focusing on retail climate issues, as well as co-authoring several retail startup help books.
