I am an energetic, enthusiastic, and self-motivated individual. On top of having experience in self-shooting, I have also produced, camera operated, and edited video which has been broadcast on BBC Look North. For my contribution towards BBC Music Day 2015, I received praise from current Director General of BBC, Tony Hall. Despite holding a strong interest in several elements of video production, I am particularly keen to explore and develop a career in editing for film.
Working in multi-media newsrooms and studio environments. I regularly Camera Operate BBC Look North, the Super League Show, and Sunday Politics, as well as Camera Operating the live regional broadcast of Children in Need 2015. I have also recently started training as a Quantel Editor.
I have produced, camera operated, and edited eleven concerts to date, covering artists such as ‘The Dunwells’, ‘Skinny Living’, ‘Rhodes’, and ‘Scars on 45’. I have also produced similar work for BBC Radio Leeds for festival’s ‘Long Division’ in Wakefield, and ‘Live at Leeds’, both in 2015.
Hired to produce a short documentary / promotional film for the Yorkshire based Practice Health Champions to promote the service they offer to patients. I lead a four-person team to produce this work.
Hired to produce two short films. One film was to be a ten-minute journalistic piece on background artists appearing in local productions. The second film was a short piece on the opening of the International Film Summit. Both films then featured on the programme for the Bradford International Film Festival in 2015; they are still played out on the Big Screen in Bradford City Centre today.
