About me
To create something from nothing and looking for a different outcome in design is a personal goal of mine. I have always wanted consumers and clients to enjoy my work and criticise it with their opinions. I am a believer that a good design will sell whatever the product is. In my work and personal life I use various techniques to capture unique images and to help me become flexible in my creations for book covers/designs, flyers, logos and web banners etc. Matching typography to the correct image, captured on screen/page you can not only convey a message but one of feeling, and when you get it right it is perfect. This is something I try to achieve in my work and will not stop until I feel satisfied and until the client is too. My influences come from different sources in my work, the diversity of culture, London, Music, Theatre and Film. My use of social media (tumblr, wordpress, flickr) helps me stay in touch with new work being produced around the world. I also am interested in fashion illustration I find it a great resource for looking at contemporary life. Huge Influences are Quentin Blake, Geoff Grandfield, John Romita Jr, Jim Lee, Jonas Garcia and the writings of Edgar Allen Poe and Stan Lee, I draw great inspiration from their respective works and hope that my personal work is a combination of these succesful people.

  • Fred's Menu
Fred's MenuI was asked to create a Menu style cover for a play called Fred’s Diner by Penelope Skinner. Published by Oberon Books. ‘In Fred’s American Diner on a busy English motorway, people dream of better lives. You’ll find friendly staff and get service with a smile, but not far beneath lies a deadly secret. Penelope Skinner’s new play serves up a beautifully plotted, blackly comic thriller that gives an unsettling portrayal of the darker reaches of intimate relationships.’ A difficult one but I feel I have achieved the brief. The tea stain was particularly tricky.
