About me
I have seveteen years' experience in a wide range of marketing disciplines, with digital performance at the core. My skills have been developed in strategy and leadership roles at a major publisher, a large portal, a leading affiliate network and in full-service, international media agencies. My most recent roles have required me to define, execute and optimise successful cross-channel strategies; building and leading a network of teams in a number of international territories. As the client / account lead, it has been my responsibility to communicate our goals and intentions at all levels and create an environment of calm consistency with one eye on delivery in the present, and one on successful growth in the future After two years travelling the world, I am keen to apply myself to a challenge that makes use of the full range of my skills and experience.

    Leading one of the agency’s most profitable but precarious clients, I managed budgets of tens of millions across a dozen markets. By tailoring an approach based around principles of honesty, accessibility and industry, I restored a hostile relationship, turned around performance, increased income and improved both client and agency satisfaction levels. As well as rebuilding the Agency / Client relationship, I improved strained internal co-operation between departments, specialisms and across different offices and markets. Often a challenge for large, multi-region accounts, the core approach I implemented provided stability and trust whilst allowing the latitude needed for different markets to thrive. Using rigorous data analysis and a continuous programme of testing (designed to return useful results quickly,) a template channel mix was established for roll-out across territories, robust enough to allow consistency of knowledge sharing with the flexibility required to suit different market environments. Success and strong performance led to me being asked to apply a similar approach across other clients in the agency’s roster.

    As Client Services Director, I was an active and influential member of the agency’s senior leadership team. I oversaw of all the agency’s clients and ensured my team of Account Directors delivered work of the highest standard and advised them on the most appropriate strategies for the client’s needs. I had ultimate commercial responsibility for the agency; balancing the best approach for the client while staying close to the agency’s margin requirements. I personally retained direct management of our most important accounts and in my time as both CSD and SAD delivered successful campaigns and brand / product launches for Provident Financial, Satsuma Loans, glo, Tesco, LV Insurance, Sage, Oxfam and more.
