Sales & Marketing Assistant

Adaptor Clothing Ltd

Aug 2015
  • Adaptor clothing is a niche menswear company with a large online platform as well as a showroom based just outside London. The majority of the revenue comes from the online business, which is why my role is mainly focused on creating engaging content to drive online sales for brands such as Fred Perry, Ben Sherman and Original Penguin. My responsibilities include: • Control of all social media platforms – Facebook, Twitter, Instagram. • Working closely with our digital marketing agency to produce engaging campaigns. • An example of a recent campaign involved collaborating with male fashion bloggers and upcoming musicians who best represent the brands we stock. This is especially beneficial when working with bands or bloggers with a big social media following, particularly on Instagram as the focus of that platform is visual. These collaborations are a great way to reach out to new customers who could be interested in what we do, but may not have come across us yet. • Working in the photography studio styling all new stock that comes in onto mannequins before shooting each outfit. This requires great attention to detail, as each garment has to sit perfectly on the mannequin. I often have to tailor the clothes using pins and pegs to achieve the desired look. It’s important to keep everything consistent when doing the shoots, for example the lighting, positioning etc. as one small change can interrupt the editing process. The images must sit well as a collection on the website so any image that looks slightly different must be re-shot. •Listing all new stock onto our specialist ecommerce database (Volo), as well as managing the multi-channel platforms (Ebay, Amazon).
