• Centre includes 200-seat theatre, independent cinema, 2 studio spaces and gallery. • Was important to maintain a good work attitude, keep calm when working under time constraints and ensure health and safety standards were always met. • As a technician, was responsible for ensuring the safety of the artists, public and other members of staff. • Responsible for operating both lighting and sound systems in theatre and studio spaces for wide variety of programmed productions including musical theatre, dance workshops, showcases and children’s theatre. • Regularly worked with touring companies and was responsible for lighting and sound for these productions. • Developed a working knowledge of equipment including ETC, Ion, Zero 88 lighting boards and Allen & Heath, Yamaha and Spirit sound consoles. • Gallery tasks included hanging art pieces to more technical builds including carpentry or projection setups. A broad range of skills was often required in order to exhibit the artist's work according to their technical specifications. • Cinema duties included programming a Doremi digital projector, scheduling weekly films and ensuring correct aspect ratio and size. • Duties also involved tuning and overseeing National Theatre and Glyndebourne Live broadcasts. • Other duties included sourcing films by contacting distribution companies to arrange deliveries if newly released films weren't delivered on time.
