My role as a Student Ambassador was to provide a friendly and informative support to prospective students during special events. I was also asked by my Course Leader to assist with 'Taster Courses' for the MA Actor Training and Coaching programme, as well as be present during the course's auditions.
I was cast as an actress in 'SHE KILLS MONSTERS,' a Dungeon and Dragon's adventure play. I also did puppetry and stage combat within the performance.
As a cast member at the Boston Tea Party Ships and Museum, my role was to provide an entertaining and education tour to groups of up to 70 patrons. It was also my responsibility to maintain the safety of these guests while maneuvering around the nautical site. There were shifts that I also worked in the museum's Tea Room, as a Tea Lady, entertaining the guests as well as educating them on the types of tea served. I also worked special events including school tours, Boston's annual Harbor Fest, and the Reenactment of the Boston Tea Party.
My duties at Keefe Technical High School were to provide support for teacher's that would be absent from their classes by following their lesson plans. I also worked in the Vice Principal's office providing administrative support by maintaining the VP's diary, scheduling appointments with students, as well as filing sensitive materials.
The Hampstead Stage Company's mission is to bring adaptions of classical literature to school's across the United States. I traveled to 38 states within America with two person productions of 'A CHRISTMAS CAROL,' 'OLIVER TWIST,' 'THE ADVENTURE'S OF MR. TOAD,' 'ALICE IN WONDERLAND,' 'THE PRINCE AND THE PAUPER,' and 'ALADDIN.' I also lead workshops and was responsible for Q&A sessions with the students. My tour partner and I were also responsible for serving as a liaison between the company and the school, collecting and processing payments, budgeting, charting our travels, and van maintenance.
This year long course has developed and honed my skills as one who will go on to educate young performers. While studying acting in the United States, I was taught under the Method training system. My interests are now in the physical methods of training, in particular the application of neuroscience and how to unlock emotion through physiological responses in the body.
This four year program trained me to be a professional actor, as well as a Director, Stage Manager, Company Manager, House Manager and Writer. I became a well-rounded theatre artisan through this education.
