  • Harry Potter and the Cursed Child
Harry Potter and the Cursed ChildWhile each theatrical production brings with it unique challenges and requirements, none were as intimidating as Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. To be a part of a phenomenon so huge, even in a small way, was a great experience. I was tasked with creating graphics for the ‘Hogwarts Express’ sweet trolley props, developed from the Production Designer’s “vintage British” vision. This included creating an overall Honeyduke’s brand, designing the packaging for some familiar products and inventing
  • The Story Fishers
The Story FishersA children's story book project in collaboration with The National Theatre and The Story Fishers, this book was distributed to local schools which would then put on a production based on the tale and visuals. As the imagery was not to be too literal, I designed an abstract pattern based on vintage storybooks to function as a setting, then hand-painted Aztec-inspired animal glyphs to scatter throughout.
  • Theatre Graphics
Theatre GraphicsI've been fortunate to work with high-profile theatre designers and contribute to such productions as A Very Very Very Dark Matter, Calendar Girls, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, Full Monty, Groundhog Day, Gypsy, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Labour of Love, Network, Schikaneder, The Ferryman, The Lorax, Tina the Musical, Twelfth Night (2018), Young Marx, Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown and Three Days in the Country. This has involved designing
  • Gaming Publications
Gaming PublicationsMy first job on moving to London was for long-running gaming magazine PC Zone. Although the magazine industry has moved in a different direction over the years, I’ve always been excited for games-industry publications. Of particular note is the high-quality tie-in to the popular game EVE Online, Commisioned by Icelandic games company CCP and loved by staff and fans alike, this was by far the longest-running, most involving magazine I’ve worked on - 30 quarterly issues over 7 years, redesigning i
  • Logo Design
Logo DesignLogo design distils the core themes and values of a person or company down into one identity. I view the design process not only as an exercise in clear communication and artistic interpretation, but one of problem solving. Often, I begin by considering the ideas or themes I want to convey and visualising a roadmap to achieving those ideals. These are examples I’ve created for clients ranging from individual businesses to huge corporate events. I have designed identities for clients large and sm
  • Marketing Design
Marketing DesignI’ve worked with many companies to design their marketing material, a few of which are highlighted here. In most cases this was through a winning pitch design. Many clients staged large-scale events or expos, involving a huge breadth of material including posters, leaflets, magazine adverts, website skins, event signage, billboards, brochures, advertising rollout, tickets, invitations and more. Clients such as IMG focused on tennis events at the Royal Albert Hall, The Hurlingham Club and The 02

  • Barber Shop Chronicles
Barber Shop ChroniclesInua Ellams play leaps from Peckham to Johannesburg, Harare, Kampala, Lagos and Accra to show how African men gather in barber shops to discuss women, fatherhood, football, politics and the state of the world.
