As a multi-disciplinary designer, I've worked in the creative industry for over 10 years, originally specialising in print production but now working in graphic & motion design and VFX. I'm also a video game reviewer and audio/visual artist.
The City Talking is a media company that produces magazines and feature-length documentary films inspired by cities. As the sole designer working on the brand, I was responsible for all print and digital design, alongside animation and VFX for their documentaries.
Contracted on a CBBC sci-fi show (World's End), I was in charge of graphics and animation, directing design across a huge range of set design and props, from fake packaging to corporate branding, web sites and animated computer displays.
I joined Studio Binky as Digital Director, bringing animation, 3D design, installation work and sound design to their crazy, colourful world.
For 6 years I worked as a freelance designer & animator, working in different studios across Yorkshire such as BBC, Studio Binky, Kiosk, The Designers Republic, The Cafeteria, Propaganda, Sanderson Bob, Iris Associates, Home, Eleven, Jupiter Design and Jaywing.
Specialising in visual art and music, I used the 3 years to develop a practice in video art and experimental electronic music.
