About me
I have been awarded a Masters in Publishing with distinction and have six years experience with a prestigious academic publisher, assisting in editorial and production departments. I have four colour print production experience at an award-winning independent photobook publisher, delivering results through project management, scheduling, checking colour proofs and colour management. I effectively use persuasive communication skills to liaise with contributors, editors and service providers to maintain efficiency.     Overall responsibility for managing print schedules and print specifications for all titles. The main point of contact with printers, managing quotes, issuing POs and ensuring titles are delivered to the highest possible quality. Creating detailed timelines using Team Gantt; liaising with photographers and designers to ensure files are delivered on time; keeping digital assets efficiently managed and backed up; finding new printers to ensure competitive prices; overseeing stock inventory; overseeing colour management process and working closely with repro houses and printers to meet their requirements.

    Responsible for managing the production of a suite of journals, from receipt of manuscripts to final print and/or online publication to an agreed standard of quality, cost and budgeted extent, to schedule, the suite of journals on average bringing in £1m of revenue to Cambridge University Press annually. Managing an annual pre-press and manufacturing budget of around £100,000; liaising with editors, authors, suppliers, external clients and internal departments and contribute to departmental projects; playing a key role in customer relations management; contributing in team and department meetings; carrying out all relevant administration and maintaining full and accurate records. Achievements; Cambridge Core website ‘super-user’ for the department; brought the production of Royal Edinburgh Society of Mathematics in house; set up a new journal in 2017, using a different print supplier, which will help introduce print-on-demand to journals.
