- Pictorial AlphabetThe pictorial alphabet was a small exercise undertaken to see how best I could make the alphabet using any kind of hands-on material whether it is from leaves, cereals, socks etc. I decided to use cornflakes to carry out this exercise although it came out messy due to me rushing it but nonetheless if anything, I believe it came out partially successful.
- Cadbury (Hennessy Narrative)Perhaps another one of my favourite designs produced despite packaging not being my strong points in regards to Graphic Design. The design was created under the module Text and Image during the first year of university. This packaging project was to put narrative of alcoholic beverages into this particular style of packaging specifically mixed with the Cadbury narrative. The black and gold stood out very well in my opinion as it lit up the design in a rich fashion. The actual Cadbury logo probab
- Magazine Layout Analysis (1)I would say that this exercise was actually quite useful because I had always wondered how editors of newspapers, magazines etc put their texts into columns as I used to believe that they just fill all the spaces possible not knowing that they are double spaced aligned centrally and then used all together all with the baseline grid so this exercise was just to get familiar with the rules of how columns and type settings are supposed to be constructed.
- Letter Press ExperimentationsWorking with portmanteau words proved to be quite exciting in making them through the letterpress. This was to get myself and other students used to different ways of making type leading me to be more type oriented and considerate in my future designs. There wasn’t any real difficulty in making these letters as I was simply just having fun while making them which was the objective to begin with in the first place.
- Visual Communication of ‘Help Me’ Horror Film PosterMy horror poster designs did not end in college as I had to make another one in my first year at the University of Chester. The module this was designed under was called Visual Communication. I just thought of the most simplistic poster to make and came up with this very design showing a partially severed hand all bloodied and dripping with blood screaming for help.
